MPP Drivers (rdac)

How to set up mpp drivers. RHEL 5 and RHEL 6

MPP Driver Install

==================

Set Up Working Directory on Server for MPP Compile Work

-------------------------------------------------------

# mkdir /tmp/rdac

You might have to chown the directory.  I haven't had an issue.

Copy the MPP (RDAC) driver to /tmp

----------------------------------

$ scp /ks/IBM/rdac-LINUX-09.03.0C05.0504-source.tar.gz <servername>:/tmp/rdac

Compile the Driver

------------------

# tar -xzvf rdac-LINUX-09.03.0C05.0504-source.tar.gz

# cd linuxrdac-09.03.0C05.0504/

# make uninstall

# make

# make install

Modify the GRUB Bootloader

--------------------------

# ls -la /boot/mpp-2.6.18-238.9.1.el5.img

 **Example**

# cp /boot/grub/grub.conf /boot/grub/grub.conf.date

# vi /boot/grub/grub.conf

**make changes to match your kernel

**make sure grub default is matches your new entry
