Increase OpsCenter Export Limit

Cause

This limitation is by design as setting a value higher than the default may cause performance degradation in smaller environments.

Solution 1

Stop OpsCenter Services

<installpath>\Symantec\OpsCenter\server\bin\opsadmin stop

 Open the file <installpath>\Symantec\OpsCenter\server\config\report.conf  and modify the parameter

report.schedule.max.tabular.rows=4000

Save the file and start OpsCenter Services

<installpath>\Symantec\OpsCenter\server\bin\opsadmin start

 Warning: Values larger than 4000 may cause performance degradation in some environments.

Adjusting the default heap size for the OpsCenter server - See OpsCenter Admin Guide Chapter 2 Topic - Tuning OpsCenter for more performance

Solution 2

This solution applies to reports that are manually generated and exported. In <install location>\\OpsCenter\gui\webserver\webapps\opscenter\WEB-INF\web.xml add four lines before the tag </web-app>

<context-param>
 <param-name>maxTabularRows</param-name>
 <param-value>5000</param-value>
</context-param>

In this example it will increase the maximum size of the report to 5,000 lines. Note that just as stated in the article TECH150215, values larger than 4000 may cause performance degradation in some environments. Adjust the default heap size for the OpsCenter server as documented in the OpsCenter 7.1 Administrator's Guide
